As pandemic restrictions lift, and our parish begins to re-engage with our surrounding community, it is more important than ever for us to offer a range of in-person opportunities, outside of Sunday morning worship. Children have experienced a higher degree of isolation over the past two years. It is our hope, to reach out to the youth of Dain City: to engage, interact and find joy with one another.
Our history of loving service
All Saints has a long history of serving God by serving others. Over the years, this has expressed itself through Christmas toy drives, support for local food banks, migrant workers, and, most recently, Wish House Women's Support Home in Welland, which offers a safe and healthy environment for women who have experienced addiction and domestic violence.
Our capacity to connect
While the past decade has seen limited Sunday morning engagement with children and families, we believe that as our community continues to grow, now is the time to build connections with the young people and families around us.
Our vision for 2022 and beyond
In 2022 and 2023 we will build on the success of our 2021 Vendors Market initiative and launch a new focus on outreach to children and families. We want the people of Dain City to know they are connected to a church that truly cares.
Together we will overcome our financial challenges and raise the funds needed to launch a new focus on growing connections with children, youth, and families. We have the will as a parish to make community outreach a priority and this funding will equip us with the means to make it happen.
With the support of everyone in our parish we will launch our first-ever Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 9th, 2022. This event will send a message to the people of Dain City that All Saints is a welcoming, loving and inclusive church that truly cares about its community.
